Jesus is the center of history. The secular world cannot but recognize His life. We cannot give the date without honoring Him. Our years are numbered from the date of His birth. For clarification, we must distinguish of which year we speak. Is it the year AD (Anno Domini), the year of our Lord, or BC (Before Christ)?

Jesus was born of a human mother (Luke 2:5-7). We can trace His lineage (Matt. 1; Luke 3). He had brothers and sisters. He grew physically, mentally, socially, and spiritually (Luke 2:52).

He had physical needs. He experienced hunger (Matt. 21:18), thirst (John 19:28), and weariness (John 4:6). He bled (John 19:34).

He had human emotions. His entire life exhibited love, compassion, and joy. He wept (John 11:35).

He was even tempted just like we are (Matt. 4). The big difference was that He never gave in to even one temptation.

After 33 years of life, He died. He voluntarily allowed His physical life to be taken from Him (John 10:17,18). But He arose with a glorified body and lives forever.
